When you have sensitive skin it can be really hard to find products that aren't abrasive or don't dry you out. Before I get into the list, my biggest suggestion for people with sensitive skin is, less is more. Being someone with sensitive skin, you can't use much because it irritates the skin and causes more problems. Simply, keep it simple.
- Mario Badescu: Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
If you have ever been on any sort of social media, then you have for sure seen this Mario Badescu facial spray. I have to say when I first saw it I was very skeptical and thought it was just hyped up because of Instagram. Man, was I WRONG. This stuff is A-M-AZING. I have this one as well as the Cucumber and Lavender scents. This stuff is light, doesn't make me oily and gives my skin a healthy glow. I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone who likes fresh and bright looking skin. My dog, Daisy even loves it.
2. Cetaphil: Gentle Skin Cleanser
Cetaphil is a widely known brand that provides products for people of all skin types. What's different about this brand however is their products for sensitive skin are actually that, products for sensitive skin. Many brands aren't actually gentle and this face cleanser is super gentle, while also still deep cleaning your face. I love this face wash because it doesn't leave me feeling dry or tight after washing. I also really love this product because it is inexpensive and is scent free, which is perfect for someone like me who is allergic to scented or colored soap.
3. CeraVe: Moisturizing Cream
I love this stuff. Living in Colorado, my skin gets PAINFULLY dry at times and this is my cure all. I use it on my entire body and it instantly makes me feel rehydrated. I also love it because, again, it is scent and dye free. It's also a miracle worker because it can be used anywhere on the body, including the face without making you breakout.
4. Up & Up: Acne Spot Treatment
Sometimes, we all have some breakouts or even just that one pesky pimple. Before my wedding, of course, I got a HUGE pimple. I was freaking out because I had basically a week before my wedding to get it under control. I went to the dermatologist and they couldn't do any thing for me without causing scarring. I was using a Retinol cream at the time and it was just drying my face out and NOT making this pimple go away. I decided I was going to do anything I could to make that pimple disappear, so I went to Target and found this superrrr cheap Acne spot cream. I started using it and within 4 days the pimple was flat and pretty much gone. By the day of the wedding you couldn't even see it at all and my skin looked amazing. Since then, I stopped using the Retinol cream and started using this at night all over my face, every 2 days. This stuff works like a charm and the price is unbeatable!
5. Jade Roller
Like the Mario Badescu facial spray, I was very skeptical about these trendy Jade rollers. After doing extensive research and learning that this tool has been used by the Chinese for hundreds of years, I bought one. Once I got it, I cleaned it and popped it into the freezer. I have to say this thing really works and feels good too! It comes with a chart on how to properly use it, which I recommend you follow. This tool is great for decreasing inflammation in the face as well as promoting collagen production. It's all natural and is perfect for sensitive skin, just make sure it isn't too cold or it will leave you looking really pink.
