Gingerbread Cookies


  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tbsp. ginger
  • 3/4 cups of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 tbsp. of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1-2 tsp. of milk, if needed


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and spices together in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Add egg in the butter mix.
  5. Add molasses and vanilla.
  6. Slowly mix flour mixture until your dough forms. If the dough is dry, add milk.
  7. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and use cutter of your choice. Bake 8-9 mins. Tasty!

The most common cookie we think of when we think of Christmas is the molasses cookies' cousin, the gingerbread cookie!
