Anyone who knows me knows that I am a DIE-HARD-DISNEY fanatic. I love anything and everything Disney...except Nightmare Before Christmas... sorry not sorry. Disney is, as we know, the most magical place on earth, and for good reason. Disney is a place for anyone and everyone & inspires millions of people every year. When I first started my blog, I really was inspired by Walt Disney himself and his famous quote, " It all started with a mouse". This quote inspired me to follow my dreams and keep pushing forward even when I wanted to quit. Yes, I have wanted to quit several times. Regardless, Disney is a wonderful place where thousands of ideas have been created and come to fruition, even if they were done on accident!

Me at Disneyland in 2018 for Halloween...it was pouring rain.

Disney is not just the home of hundreds of beloved characters but it also the birth place of America's favorite chip, the Dorito. In 1955, Disneyland opened for the first time, while also opening several restaurants within it. One of those restaurants was a Frito-Lay Mexican restaurant called Casa de Fritos located in Frontierland. Casa de Fritos would get their tortillas from a local company called Alex's Foods.

One salesman for the restaurant noticed they were throwing away a lot of stale tortillas & then had the great idea to cut them up and fry them into chips. Casa de Fritos started serving the chips and they were a success! The chips hit the big time when a marketing- executive for Frito-Lay was visiting and quickly contracted Alex's Foods to start making them in mass quantities.

Doritos were officially born in 1964, and in 1966 they were released nationwide under the Frito-Lay company! From there Doritos have become a billion dollar chip. They have several flavors ranging from classic to Cool Ranch. My favorite is the Cool Ranch flavor, what is your favorite? Share with me in the comments below!
