If you're anything like me then you love all things Christmas. That includes crafts, and I really LOVE Christmas crafts. Almost every year my family and I make ornaments, which are SO easy to do. So many people think that it's difficult or that they won't turn out being "professional" looking. If you follow the steps for how I make "professional" ornaments, you will see just how easy and fun they are to make!
You will need to buy some clear glass ornaments, I got mine at Target. Once you get them you will want to wipe each of them off before trying to decorate.
You will want to take the metal piece off the top first (I put mine back on for the picture.) Then you will want to get a paint brush and Enamel Paint in any color, I used white. I did one coat first and let it dry. Then I did a second coat, and while it was still wet I started step 3.
While the second coat was still wet, I put silver glitter on the paint. You will want to make sure you apply the glitter evenly and you'll want to put A LOT. To let it dry, make sure the metal piece is off the top still. You will flip the ornament over and balance it on the opening of the ornament so it can dry and not get any bumps.
After the ornament has dried for at LEAST 45 mins, you can then hang up your beautiful, professional looking ornament. This method works really well because it doesn't require any messy glue and the base of paint helps to add depth and hide the clear ornament.
These ornaments are super easy to make and are cheap! You can do so much and create so many pretty ornaments to hang on your family tree. Share your creation with me below!
