If you have a Cricut, then you know that there is SO much you can create with it. It is great for so many different functions and one that I am really loving right now is making home decor. With that being said,  I wanted to make a super simple and cute Valentine's Day banner!

Step 1:

Select the "shapes" option on the left hand menu. Choose the heart and resize it at the top of the page. You will want to resize this to be 4 inches in height.

Step 2:

Select " text" in the left hand menu. Then type an "x" in any font you choose. I went with a cursive text. Make sure you sent the linetype to "cut".  Hit the "select all" button at the top of the page, then hit the "attach" button in the bottom right hand corner.

Step 3:

Select the first heart and hit command C. Then hit command V. This will copy and paste the heart.

Step 4: Select the "shapes" option on the left hand menu. Choose the heart and resize it at the top of the page. You will want to resize this to be 4 inches in height.

Step 5:

Select " text" in the left hand menu. Then type an "0" in any font you choose. I went with a cursive text. Make sure you sent the linetype to "cut".  Hit the "select all" button at the top of the page, then hit the "attach" button in the bottom right hand corner.

Step 6:

Select the first heart and hit command C. Then hit command V. This will copy and paste the heart. Hit the "select all" button at the top of the page, then hit the "attach" button in the bottom right hand corner. This will keep this grouping together when you go to cut.

Step 7:

Scroll down on the page. Select the "shapes" option on the left hand menu. Choose the heart and resize it at the top of the page. You will want to resize this to be 4 inches in height.

Step 9:

Go to the " images" button on the left hand side. I searched for "Valentine's Day" and found an image I liked. Then I selected it and sized it to fit in the heart. IMPORTANT: In the right sidebar, hit the eye symbol next to the "xo" hearts. This will hide them so you can attach the image to the heart. After you have hidden the first heart design, hit the "select all" button at the top of the page, then hit the "attach" button in the bottom right hand corner. This will keep this grouping together when you go to cut.

Step 10:

Select the first heart and hit command C. Then hit command V. This will copy and paste the heart.

Step 11:

Select the "shapes" option on the left hand menu. Choose the heart and resize it at the top of the page. You will want to resize this to be 4 inches in height. Select the first heart and hit command C. Then hit command V. This will copy and paste the heart. In the right sidebar, hit the eye symbol next to the "xo" hearts and the "love" hearts. This will hide them so you can attach the four hearts together. After you have hidden the first heart design, hit the "select all" button at the top of the page, then hit the "attach" button in the bottom right hand corner. Then hit the eye on each hidden design so it is ready to print.

Step 12:

Load your mat with the selected color of paper and then print the designs.

Step 13:

This step is optional if you want, but I wanted to add some glitter. So I used a paintbrush to paint glue on to the hearts and then sprinkled glitter on each.

Step 14:

Gather some wood clips, I got these in the Target dollar section for a $1 each. They are PERFECT for this project.

Step 15:

Cut a long line of string that can hold all the hearts you made. I also included some pretty little doilies that I got in the Target dollar section as well. Then clip each heart on the line using the wood clips. Make sure you space each heart evenly apart.

Step 16:

After you have clipped each heart to the line it is time to hang it up!

So pretty and simple, yet perfect!
